1956 GMC Blue Chip - First Time Classic Truck Owner
Hello from NE Florida.
I recently picked up a 1956 GMC Blue Chip. It is my first time owning a vintage/classic vehicle. Prior to this one, I believe the oldest car I'd ever ridden in was a 71 Duster (when I was a kid). So, everything about it is new to me. Nevertheless, I am really excited about it and have big plans for it, although at this point, I have way more questions than solutions. Hopefully, I can glean information and help from 67-72chevytrucks contributors. A little bit about the truck: 1956 GMC Big Window Pickup 454 Chevy Big Block with mild cam Turbo 400 Trans w/Lokar Shifter Aluminum intake & Holley dual feed carb Headers into performance flowmaster exhaust Serpentine Belt System Aluminum Radiator w/Electric fan Electronic Ignition Crown Victoria Clip w/Power Rack & Pinion Steering Power 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Vintage Air AC Ford 9” Rear end Wood bed with stainless slats Reupholstered bench seat Patina Thanks, Ted |
