69 c10 exhaust exit

I have a 69 c10 that I’ll be getting a new rear bumper for soon and was wanting the exhaust to exit THRU the bumper. So my question is does anyone know if there are bumpers that come made with the holes already cut or would I need to cut the holes out myself? And also with the pipes coming out of the bumper would I need to worry about the bumper turning black?

As far as the bumper turning black, if you're running the original engine with a carburetor, there's going to be some soot. If you clean it regularly and use chrome polish to protect it you shouldn't have a problem.

You are going to be cutting your own holes.
May I ask why you want to run them through the bumper?

It was dads truck before. I kinda took it over but he mentioned wanting to do that with the exhaust (don’t know why other than he thinks it would look good). I figured I’d see if it was possible since I don’t have that much of a preference. But if it means cutting holes myself I’m going another direction with it.

I believe member Andy4639 has round cut-outs in his front bumper for fog lights. You could ask him how he did it and what it cost.

A painted bumper would be easy to modify 3 inch hole saw is all you would need. Chrome I think would peel and rust .

I'm thinking the way to do it would be to cut a painted bumper and then have it chromed. It would be expensive; you would really have to want it that way.

I would use a plasma cutter, if metal bumper.
The problem is, chrome bumpers with exhaust running through them rust, the O.E.M'S tried this.
With painted bumpers the heat discolors the paint.
I don't think it work with a work truck step type bumper. like the o/p photo.
But the sport type bumper it look good, or roll pan. It is your truck build it the way you want.
If a Chrome bumper, I would cut it with a plasma cuter, in steps, keeping down the heat in the bumper. cut 1/10th of the hole stop and blow compressed air on it to cool it. then another 1/10th. Grind the whole smooth and then coat the edge you cut, with high temp paint.
