Trans codes don’t often trigger a check engine light. You need a scanner that can read into the trans controller and pull stored codes. A simple code reader usually won’t cut it. If you’re going to take it to the dealership, they’ll scan and more than likely pull a code. Let us know if there was a code and what the code is.
