1977 Bezel on a 1978 Blazer...How Hard Will This Be?
I want to replace the Bezel in my 1978 Blazer.
I will be replacing the dash too. I do not like any of the 1978 aftermarket bezels, but this 1975-77 bezel is what I want (all black textured with chrome gauge insets). To add to my curiosity and see what you all know, the dashes off USA1's site say 1977-1978 which gives me hope that it'll fit right with the dash, I may just be doing some modification to the attach points which I'm ok with. I'm mostly interested if anyone knows of any major challenges or if there's something that makes this cost prohibitive? Lastly, has anyone ever seen a plain textured black Bezel with the chrome gauge insets for a '78? I've searched all the common distributors but this is the best I can come up with and it has too much going on for the style I'm seeking. Much appreciation to anyone with experience in this department. |

Yes, I believe the 75-77 & 78-80 dash bezels are physically interchangeable and use all the same attachment points. With the only difference being the styling / texture.
There is a slight difference in the size of the lower steering column cover. You'll need to get one that matches the year range of the bezel you'll be using. |
