Any artists/graphic designers in the house?

I had a idea today...

My 72 GMC belonged to my wife's brother who passed away 9 years ago. I am keeping the look of the truck "as is", as that is how we all remember "Uncle Johnny's truck" looking.

My wife's family owned a car repair business for many, many years.

So my idea is to put a "shop truck" logo on the door of this old GMC, as if it were a truck for the family's shop.

If there are any bored artists in the house who would want to take a crack at making a logo for me, I'd be much obliged. I guess these things were hand painted, and would need to be "patina-ed" to make it look right. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

The name of the business was Clark's Brake and Wheel Alignment. Or just Clark's, for short. See attached advertisements from 1960 for reference and inspiration. And a picture of the truck.

Thanks!

Re: Any artists/graphic designers in the house?

I googled shop truck door art, lots of great designs but mostly on the big door trucks like the 40's and 50's. Ill bet an old time pinstriper could whip up a nice hand painted door with the address and old phone number. Here's my cheesy attempt. Sound like a fun project.

That “Cheesy Attempt” Looks pretty good! If there’s a sign painter anywhere close to you, they could easily paint that for you. OR, You May be able to have a graphics place cut a decal style door sign.
