I just visited your site and saw all the picts that I could ever want.

Do you have photos of the mounted steering pump? Also, what are you doing abou the outer bumper brackets, just leaving them out?

Are you wondering about the pump or gear box? I need to order a heim and some u-joints for the steering, so I can hook it back up. Then I need to get hoses made to connect the gear box and the LT1 pump.

The box. Now that I look at the photo, I see that all four mounting holes were untouched. I was looking at mine on Friday and it looked a lot more complicated with everything hooked up, but your photo shows otherwise.

Did these bumper bracket holes get moved? Or will both bumper brackets bolt up as normal?

I looked and looked at the gear box mounting before doing the cut, and this was the only way I could think of doing it.

The bumper brackets might be off a hole, but I will probably drill a new one and put a bolt in it. It's surprising how flimsy the stock bumper is without those brackets on there.

Hey loweredd, I have my truck in the shop right now to have my frame z'd. You say 3 inchs would probably have been enough? The guy who is doing mine wants to z it 4.5 inches, but I am runnin 22's. You think I will have a comming up through my fenders? Also I was told I will have to modify my firewall to make the 22's work. Did you have any clearence problems with such big tires on your 20's?

4.5 would work, but you dont need to do that. If you have a carb, you're going to be looking for a new hood, even with a 4" like this. 22's, depending on what size tire you use, will not fit. If you electrical tape them, they will work, but look like crap IMO. I have a 275/45/20 up front, but could MAYBE squeeze the same heighth under there as a 275/50/20. That is 30.8 inch tire. 275/40/22. I think you would hurt rims with that size tire.

The passenger side firewall needs tubbed. The driver's (on mine) does not. It just barley misses everything. The hood pop cable needs to be moved or taken off. I want to swap it over to the old style hood pop (in the grill) but doubt I will do that.

No steering issues yet, I just got my steering shaft and U-joints on UPS today from www.speedwaymotors.com I will hook all of that up tonight in the garage. 9PM-2AM. LOL.

Geez! Now the headers I got with the LT1 dont fit. I've got to find a set of headers tonight, bacause it is getting exhaust in the morning.

I looked through books today and came up with 3 sets that might fit. I hope a set fits.

Steering was a breeze. 3 joints, 2 pieces of steering shaft, and 1 piece of angle iron. I will get pics tonight of that after I get it all on there.

Wow, I've really left you guys hangin here......sorry about that. I lost ambition there for awhile. Radiator fitment problems and crap. All of that is pretty much figured out now....I just need the driveshaft shortened.

I will bring the digi home this weekend, and get pictures posted.
