I did the Volvo fan with a gen1 Camaro LS swap radiator. There was nothing easy about this project. It took about 4 attempts to make everything fit. There is no need to get the Volvo relays. You can wire your own with 2 Bosch relays. I bought a 6 relay box for the LS harness, the fan relays go in there. I haven't got the truck running yet, so I can't comment on whether or not it works

The PCM outputs, determined by parameters in the software. The coolant temp sensor is “read” by the computer, software settings can tailor what temps the fans go on and off.

are you using a GM ecu or something aftermarket like a Holley HP, etc.

Lots of great information guys. I will have many choices when the time comes. I plan on using the fan 1 fan 2 out puts from the ecm to control the fans. Steve
