5.3 swap in 1949 chevy truck
Any reason to box the frame for the 5.3 engine , this is cruiser not drag truck ?

Assuming the 49 chassis is in solid condition, boxing the frame is not necessary...IMHO....
The areas that will need attention are the transmission support crossmember and the center bearing carrier support, if one is used in your build... There are several vendors on this board that make engine mount kits for these....just do a search on the top of most pages...

not neccessary, but it being boxed makes it alot easier to fab mounts and brackets onto...and the boxing helps stiffen the frame, which is never a bad thing..
are you doing a front suspension swap as well? some kits it has to be boxed anyway
