L99 w/DOD delete - 0il pan question, please HELP!!!!
I am trying to find an oil pan for my L99 that I am removing DOD and keeping VVT.
I have read that there is a oil bypass in the DOD/VVT pans to allow bleed oil pressure to operate the DOD/VVT. If keeping the VVT only does it require a special pan? ~JH |

I believe only needed for DOD, but thats an interesting question. the passage in the pan can be plugged off, with a metric threaded pipe plug. so whatever pan you go with you can defeat the bypass valve. Personally i don't see why the VVT would need the bypass valve.

Can't say about the DOD but when I deleted the VVT on a 2010 L92 I used a 2002 Fbody oil pan with no issues. Might want to check the folks over on LS1tech.
