Is there a source for new front wheel hubs for trucks with front drum brakes ?

That (know) Old vehicles?

There is a guy that works in the back at one of the chain stores.
He came out of retirement.
He has been working in car parts since the 70's.

You may have already checked the chain stores I'm sure.

I'm Working alot of overtime right now.

It would be unusual to find a hub. I guess it’s possible that “maybe” one of the aftermarket manufacturers possibly “made” a replacement hub, but I have mostly doubts. I sold parts from 1985-1998, worked for an independent aftermarket parts store. Never saw a listing for a Chevy pickup, OR any brand of car or truck that had front drums. GM has had their aftermarket line of parts for a long time (most were same as parts available at dealers, but had different part numbers, some GM parts had both numbers on their package). My closest guess shot, is if GM made a hub for their aftermarket line.

I don’t know all the reasons, but the GM aftermarket line got GM parts into the hands of more retailers than just dealerships. Dealerships have never had a good reputation for selling parts at a fair price! I liked to buy GM parts for my stuff, I knew it was the best, and getting the parts through my work was a no brainer.

If anyone ever made an aftermarket hub, it would obviously be “ old” stock, and the chances of finding it insomeones inventory is just about nil...it would have to be an internet find!

There’s folks that sit on tons of old parts, and don’t even know what they have. There’s a chance to find something like a hub, Avery slim chance.

Become a paying member (if you are not already), and place a “want to buy” ad, you WILL find a good used hub!

There is a salvage yard near me that I frequent for classic cars and trucks I can tell you they have plenty of used ones. Sorry, I know that doesn't help you.

Maybe one of the classic corvette suppliers may have one but unsure if there would be a 6 lug offering, maybe a 5 lug. Just a suggestion.

Sure, it's CTC's AutoRanch. It's on I-35 between Denton and Sanger Texas. It's north of Denton and south of Sanger.

Go to http://www.car-part.com From there you can enter your zip code and then choose from the drop down to sort by distance. Enter your year and model of your truck and for the part pick "Hub". It will ask you a couple of interchange questions about the part you're looking for. You'll then get a list of salvage yards selling the hub sorted by the yards closest to you.

If you can't find new ones, I would look at Chucks Truck Haven in Unionville TN, I'm sure he has used originals. Unionville is about 20 miles south of Murfreesboro. He sells new and used parts, and you can find their website on the internet.
