Has anyone used a C6 Corvette radiator?
I just sold my 2009 Z06 and kept a few parts for other projects.
One of those parts is a fairly expensive aluminum radiator and if I can use it in my 71 (350/350), it'd be nice to not let it rot in a shelf in my garage. Thanks in advance for the advice!! 😁 |

I have no idea for sure, but I would think if you were doing an LS swap and the general dimensions were the same, why not?

I've got a dry sump LS7 that'll eventually end up in the truck, but since I need a radiator now (stock rad has a pinhole leak at the top), I don't want to buy one if I can use what I have. |

Re: Has anyone used a C6 Corvette radiator?
Just looking it appears to me that the transmission lines are kinda in the right place. The width is roughly same. Appears to be 2 " taller which may be an issue. But hose sizes are wrong for a small-block and the lower hose attachment is a lot higher-may not work without a weird hose? As inexpensive as radiators are for these, I would just buy one or fix what you have unless you swap the LS engine with it. Again all of this is an opinion based on looking at online pictures not actual experience.

Re: Has anyone used a C6 Corvette radiator?
I used a radiator from a g-body '78 ElCamino in my old '68 Bronze-Beater years ago. When that truck was taken off the road, the radiator was still good so it was again put in w/my parts in storage. 10yrs later it found its way back under another g-body car.
GM radiators are 'common' in sizing so if the dimensions will work, use it.

I think the real win is it's a fairly expensive DeWitt's setup, so once the LS7 gets dropped in, it looks like it fits 99%. |
