Help Identifying Rubber Strips
I received a box of parts with my 53 Chevy truck (has 1950 doors). These rubber parts look like they fit in the doors as window seals. But they don't seem to fit my truck. Any ideas - are these for a 53 or 50 Chevy truck?
Thanks. Wade

Re: Help Identifying Rubber Strips
Thanks Greg. I have bought the threshold rubber new and it does not look like the pieces that I am trying to identify. The new threshold is just a solid piece of rubber.

Re: Help Identifying Rubber Strips
That may be the pieces from some other project that got tossed in the box. I don't recognize it as being Chevy AD.
The first one you have in your hand looks like rubber for glass. Maybe for a piece of equipment like a tractor or combine.

Re: Help Identifying Rubber Strips
You may be right. I got three large boxes of parts from the previous owner when I bought my 53 Chevy truck as a project. I am currently trying to determine if I have all of the parts to put the door glass in the 1950 Chevy truck doors. Looks like I am missing the channel on the bottom of the door windows that the regulator rollers run in.

Re: Help Identifying Rubber Strips
I've got a half dozen 47/50 doors out back that I picked up over the years either at swap meets or with cabs and I think every one of them is missing most or all of the window hardware., In the early 80's guys were robbing the innards out of the doors to make single piece glass windows out of later model doors.
Chevs of the 40's has the correct length piece https://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail...rack_Fits.html
