Re: C20 drop spindles

Thank you guys for the info. Especially Big Kev-O.
Here's what I have;
73-up outer tie rods
73-up New GM C20 upper & lower arms complete with ball joints
68 outer tierods to use as inners
73-up brake hoses and fittings to connect to stock hard lines
73-up New complete GM disc brake pads/rotors/calipers/bearings, etc
Ordered the POL sleeves.

I'm waiting to pull the trigger on the POL spindles as I just found a set of 3" drop spindles and frame with lowered leafs that I'm going to check in a week. If that doesn't pan out, I will order the POL spindles.
Can't wait to tackle this portion of my project. I love this site for all it's helpful information.
Thank you, Joe

The threads size and thread direction (RH/LH threads) on 67-70 are not the same as 71-72. In order to use the 71-87 drop spindles you will need to use tie rod adapter sleeves POL part # HPAS6570. These sleeves allow you to use 67-70 outer tie rods (which will be used on the inside position) and 71-72 outer tie rods to connect the spindles. IIRC you will need to use 71-72 upper and lower ball joints as well.

So to summarize In order to use the 71-87 spindles you will need:
1. 71-72 Outer tie rods, Upper & Lower Ball Joints
2. Tie rod adapter sleeves p/n HPAS6570
3. Disc/Drum Master cylinder & proportioning aka metering valve
4. Brake lines to connect the new calipers to the existing hard lines
