Nice choice of truck! I'm thinking of building a 67 or 68 Chev short fleet in a couple of years for my next one (maybe a prostreet), later Doug

Glad it is going back together for you. Any idea why the inner fenders were difficult? I have not messed with them so maybe they always are difficult.

Looking good Jack!! Was the inner fender problem bolt hole alignment? That seems pretty common. Repro parts just never seem to fit quite as good as the originals.

I do not know what issues that Jack had, but I can tell you about my first hand experiences. I have installed many inner fenders on these trucks, and have found that you only want to start the bolts in, get them all started then tighten them. Otherwise you will have holes that just don't seem to want to line up easely. A problem that we fix with a long spike to pull the inner fender into place. They will all eventually line up, however some will be more difficult than others. A great help is the speed bolts. They will pull the inner fender into place while not cross threading. I found if you try to use the old bolts, you will have more problems than if you use new. It also would seem that the R/H inner fender is a little more of a problem than the L/H. I think that it is because there are a lot more holes to line up though. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Congrats Jack! I'm making a little progress too, pics are on the Blazer board. Did you rebuild that '69 engine or buy another one? Jeff.
