With a rear leaf setup you can get a drop shackle which is a cost effective way to lower. They usually have a few different holes in them to fine tune how much you want to lower it. They maintain the carrying capacity as well since you aren't changing the leaf spring.

How do the drop shackles work?
I am having a hard time picturing how the shackles lower the truck. I found a kit on eBay that is fairly affordable. |

Shackle is longer . Since the spring is above the shackle it puts the eyelet closer to the bed floor therefore lowering the truck
