The bumper is something I was going to ask the forum about in a future posting. I have never seen one like it. In my research I can't find it as a factory option. I don't know if it was and old aftermarket, a custom build, or a dealer add-on. Figure there may be somebody here who would know.

The old retrac mirrors I think were an original dealer option. Believe it or not, Retrac is still in business and making mirrors (mostly for semis and large box trucks). I contacted them about these to see if I could get a replacement set. They looked them up in their archives and found them, but they do not manufacture them anymore. I will need to try to find some way to have them restored.

The rear bumper allows the tailgate to be dropped straight down. It makes loading or unloading heavy objects easier. Ranchers would use a bumper like that to load or unload hay bales or perhaps even livestock. Or you could drop the tailgate straight down and backup to a loading dock with out damaging the tailgate.
