Re: Special Delivery Came Today!!
The bumper is something I was going to ask the forum about in a future posting. I have never seen one like it. In my research I can't find it as a factory option. I don't know if it was and old aftermarket, a custom build, or a dealer add-on. Figure there may be somebody here who would know.
The old retrac mirrors I think were an original dealer option. Believe it or not, Retrac is still in business and making mirrors (mostly for semis and large box trucks). I contacted them about these to see if I could get a replacement set. They looked them up in their archives and found them, but they do not manufacture them anymore. I will need to try to find some way to have them restored. |

Re: Special Delivery Came Today!!
The rear bumper allows the tailgate to be dropped straight down. It makes loading or unloading heavy objects easier. Ranchers would use a bumper like that to load or unload hay bales or perhaps even livestock. Or you could drop the tailgate straight down and backup to a loading dock with out damaging the tailgate.
