...a truck frame that has the holes/provision for Tow Hooks that wasn't optioned with them?

Just curious to know if this was common? I own a '69 Chevy that doesn't have the holes for them yet I've got a '72 GMC that does. Did the factory just start eventually punching out the holes on every frame during the final years of these trucks?

Any of you have a truck with tow hooks optioned from factory on the truck but not officially documented on the build sheet?

I know it has come up before that some do and some don't. The trucks I have looked at did have the holes, but they were 71/72s. You may be onto something with them eventually being punched in all. I have seen 2wds with the holes as well, with no hooks listed on SPID

I think most 72 frames were drilled for them.
