Blazer Tub Worth?
Whats a truly RUST FREE blazer tub really worth?
Options include - 1) a tub only 2) tub and tail gate 3) tub, tail gate with doors 4) tub, tail gate, doors and complete front clip. Let's say it was a complete tub with doors, tail gate and front clip sitting on a 4x4 frame...with the hard top. What would something like this be worth? |

Now that's a tough question---Big O had a stripped one last year for $650.---But, a truly rust free tub is hard to find east of the rockies. If we add up the parts----doors=$300, tailgate=$250, front clip=$500. 4x4 frame=?, hard top=$350. (assuming good gate) and the tub-----I would put the package at around $2500. to $3500. east of the Rockies. If it's in California and I had to have it transported-----that would cost another $1,000. so I would subtract that from my $3500. estimate. There are lots of unknown's here like---glass, trim, interior, auto/4speed, 350 or ?, wheels, paint, seats, dents, etc. On a Blazer, the do-da's can cost a ton---sunvisors, seat belts, rear seat hold down's, spare mount, interior rear quarter panel's, TOW HOOKS, lift's, etc. My .02-----

HUCK, very thorough break down, thanks.
The tub will be done and ready to use including glass...no dents, no rust. Tub will be sprayed with epoxy primer. All the underdash parts will be intact. It even has a 3/4 ton master/booster with it. Who ever responds when it goes up for sale will have the option of whatever they want beginning with the tub and 4x4 frame that's also been blasted and painted...they can add from there, doors, gate, front clip, complete interior (black), auto or 4spd tranny (have both 205 t-cases) and a decent top. |

Im looking for that "good " tub. My 72's tub was split for rust and panel repair without any supports or jig. I learned my leason now, but need a tub to replace the mess I created.

Blazer Tub
Hopefully it will be done within the next month.
When I described it as a tub and frame, that's pretty much the set-up, I'm thinking about keeping the front and rear axels from it but I'm sure I can find something to put under it so it's at least a rolling chassis. As far as the $$ goes, it all depends on how many other parts you'd want. |

I'd need the tub, doors, gate, front clip (don't need grille), and the interior. Wouldn't need the hardtop, transfer case or tranny as I think about it. Is the wiring harness still intact?
Not tryin to jump line on ya aduff, just askin the nessesary ??s
