I need to know if I have to drop the tranny pan to replace tranny kick down cable.I have removed the one bolt holding it to the side of the transmission housing but I don't know how it attaches internally. th350

No.

Just pull the cable up until you see how it hooks on. Then unhook and put the new one on. Don't let it fall back into the tranny until it's re-hooked ( I don't know what happens if it does because I've never let that happen).

IT's just a little hole in a lever, you don't need any special tools for the actual unhooking and rehooking.

If you havent changed the tranny fluid lately or just recently bought the truck and dont know when it was last changed, it wouldnt hurt to drop the pan and change the fluid, filter and cable all at the same time and not have to worry about "droppping" the lever back in.

Just my $.02 worth.

dont worry about dropping it in...ive did it 4 times b4 i got it hooked up...no secrets, just a pain in the azz.

just drop the pan it will save u a headache the fluid and filter prob need changed anyways
