222,222 Miles
My 04 Sierra Z71 just turned 222,222 miles and it runs like a top. It does burn a little oil, otherwise it is going strong.
Chevy may be built like a rock but, GMC is built like a boulder.

Re: 222,222 Miles
I am impressed with the 800 series trucks. If you can keep the rust off they will last. My 04 Sierra came from NC and it only has surface rust underneath. I had the Krown Treatment sprayed on a few months ago. So hopefully it will last ...

Re: 222,222 Miles
I just changed the factory clutch in my 99 Silverado 1500, 4.3, 5-Speed, 164K miles. Truck doesn't burn a drop of oil, but the valve cover gasket do let a little escape, waiting on warmer days to fix that.

Re: 222,222 Miles
I have heard the next generation is not as good as the 800 series.

Re: 222,222 Miles
So far I like my 2016 that we bought used, but I did have to replace the transmission.
I just needed something that we could presumably go cross country right now, and the older stuff all seemed to have 200K++++ miles and unknown history. Plus we wanted a regular cab and if you could find one they all seemed to be beat to heck already. I did buy a 2002 for my daughter after she rolled her Ford. It is a crew cab so I wouldn't want it but the forward visibility is sure a lot better I'm thinking now that I wouldn't mind a 99-06 to replace my 89, if I could find the configuration that I want.

Re: 222,222 Miles
Now you just have to get it to 333,333 miles and then 345,678.
I just passed 98,765 and I didn't take a picture.

Re: 222,222 Miles
My 2000 Sierra has 164k. Had to have the tranny rebuilt and replaced what has to be the original fuel pump yesterday. It's my 1st gmt800 truck and first LS style engine. The 5.3 makes a lot more power than my 98 F150 4.6 LOL.
