Re: Need help 53 chevy 3600
What did you use for the 4-link on the 3600. the brackets are on the outside of the frame rails. Did you make them as complete custom set up? If you have pictures, it would be great.

Re: Need help 53 chevy 3600
I checked it out, looks like its doable, except for my welding skills. I can figure stuff out, measure, center, square, welding??? I could spot weld and bring a pro to finish it, on the critical parts.
Thanks for the info. I have to fine a 4x4 trailblazer rear axle, i believe they a posi. |

Trailblazer has an odd sized wheel bolt pattern, depending on year. S10 style or newer?

Re: Need help 53 chevy 3600
I'm in the middle of redoing my 50 3600 as well. Just finished shortening the bed. I used a Fab Quest 4 link on the rear. For a few years I was using the IFS from a 79 1/2 ton but I didn't like how the crossmember & control arms were so visible underneath so I opted for a bolt on Mustang II. It drives much better IMO. I got in a set Viking coil overs & tubular control arms from CCP to match the rear that I hope to get around to installing this weekend. Pics in the thread if you're interested.
