I got it fixed. Had to install a "pull up" resistor on the signal line for the speedo to work.
Apparently when I pulled the factory dash I also pulled the pull up resistor. IT works great now. I still need to tilt all the gauges back so I can see them as the factory dash will not allow that. I am going to build a aluminum dash and reinstall the gauges.
