Do you think he "really" thinks it's 160 MPH?

hey any of the canadians have one for an 83? and what it would cost to send down to US 77656. but i would prefer if it had a mechanical oil presure gague as my engine makes 50 no load when cold. so it would be pegging out a 30 pound gague. or could i just put in the speedomiter? thanks.

Sanity, you'd need to do a major rewiring job to put an earlier dash bezel with the mechanical oil pressure gauge in...

Why don't you get a 0-80 oil pressure gauge from a C 30 truck like this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMESE%3AIT

I don't think it upsets me that this guy is trying to pull a fast one over on a unsuspecting buyer, but that he is trying to make at least $100 doing it!!

all right
rusell-i really have nothing better to do. and it would give me something to do rather than sit on my butt all day long. Mitch-i didn't know that GM made any oil gagues past 80, but i can peg an 80 pound gague. I've almost pegged my 90 on more than 1 ocasion. so i repeat my question and in doing so highjack the forum, my apoligizes, any of the board members have the 160 "mph" cluster that they are willing to part that would fit in my 83?

so why not put a standard 100mph speedo in? it doesnt make much sense to put a km/h speedo in, especially if you're only going to gain 5 mph.

Sanity, if you're wanting to do a conversion to an earlier style bezel, I could provide a dash bezel plug and the plastic wiring sheet from a 76. I also have the dash backing, its painted chrome, and missing one mounting tab (really doesn't matter though, the one in my truck also has the same missing tab with no issues...) I could throw in the fuel gauge for it, but you'd need to find a speedo that doesn't have any idiot lights on it though... It had a 100 mph speedo in it, but I sold it a long time, wrecked / sold the rest of the gauges too.
The gauge pod has two idiot lights, one big one in the place of the lower left small gauge for the parking brake, and the other as the seatbelt reminder light behind the fuel gauge. So yeah, you could technically use your current speedo, and just put the little mask for your current idiot lights in, and just have them do nothing... Lemme know if you are interested here, and I can better describe what I am thinking as far as the gauge pod goes (for example, you'll have to convert the setup to / from amp to / from volts) I can also throw in the sender for a stock oil pressure gauge, but I don't have the gauge anymore... PS... I do infact have a 160 km/h speedo if you want it... But I'm not too sure why you wouldn't just get a 100 mph speedo
