Hypothetical Question

My factory tach goes to 5000 rpm. Let’s say I revved the motor to 5800-6000 rpm while driving. Would this damage the tach or would the needle just continue on past 5k ? This is with a LS motor so the only concern is the tach. Thanks in advance.

Re: Hypothetical Question

It's only electrons; unless it has a drive cable on it (like on a Corvette). No needles will be damaged.

The ability to speak several languages is an asset, but the ability to keep your mouth shut in any language is priceless.
