Rare Kleenex box

Hey guys!
I was just looking in some classified adds and read an add whare the guy has "rare kleenex box" in the add, just wondering if anyone can give me imput on what he is talking about!

it just depends on what it came out of. if it came out of one of our trucks it probably is rare but cars like cadillac and other luxury type cars it was a fairly common option.

Hey 406_SBC, he's probably referring to something like this...



They were tissue box holders that could be mounted in the car.

This is a pic of one that the owner stated was original, It was probably a dealer add-on as I have yet to see one listed on an option sheet.

Original? Perhaps. Factory installed? Doubtful. Still, there's something kinda cool about vintage parts like that.

Neither of those are correct. They were dealer add ons... theres a pic in the back of the owners manuals in some years. The dealer data books show them too.. they basically mounted on the floor as a tissue holder and trash bin.

Never claimed the one I posted was correct for a truck. I do remember, however, seeing a pic of what you're talking about in the back of my manual. Still, I believe they were basically just advertising a relatively common dealer add-on.
