GoodGuys in Indy results
Went to the GoodGuys show in Indy this weekend. I just went because I heard there were usually some nice 67-72's there, but ofcoarse, no. I did see 4 I think, but none that really sparked my interest. Infact i'm starting to think these trucks are extinct. But there were so many street rods you could skate on 'em! I've been to a bunch of shows and rarely see any 67-72's and if I do find some its not any that really spark my interest. I wanna see some new cool ideas, stuff nobody else has done. I hardly ever see that anymore. I went to the pigeon forge show on a saturday and there were maybe 6 trucks there. Then I get home and people post pics of all these nice lookin trucks that I never saw. Just gettin a little discouraged.
But on the upside, I did witness a drag car run a 5.85 @ 240mph. SWEET!

There's a reason you didn't see many '67 to '72 trucks at Goodguys - Indy.......... the show is only open to '64 and older vehicles...... '72 and older are allowed to drag race. My buddy snuck his '66 Impala in a couple years ago... told them he was going to race it. I've been up there twice for that show..... LOTS of nice cars.... just older stuff. Goodguys is having it's first anual show at the new Kansas Speedway this October...... they are allowing '72 and older in that show.... hope to have mine done by then.

The people I know that have been participating and going to goodguys shows for a long time have all told me that up to 72 has been allowed for a long time. In the car show area I saw vehicles as new as a 95 vette, lots of 60's and 70's cars too
