Thumbs up Thanks for the help

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to say thanks for the help from my previous thread.
I was having trouble with my 71 3/4 ton locking up the rear when I pushed alittle hard on the brakes. Well after getting new drums (the old ones were out of round and beyond turning) it still locked up, so replaced the shoes. Even though they looked fine and after cleaning them with a can of brake cleaner I still had the problem, I replaced them and everything works fine.

FYI - 71 had 3 different rear brake sizes:
11 5/32 x 2 3/4"
12" x 2"
and with the dana rear end 12" x 2 1/2"
After going to several different part stores I found the correct brakes shoes and drums (12" x 2.5")

Again thanks everyone
