help with steering column
I have a 86 c10 that didn't come factory with delay wipers. I swapped in a new unit but I have a question when putting back the top cover of the steering column. Are the gears in the correct position when putting it back together?

Re: help with steering column
When you mesh the "round gear" pinion with the "flat gear" rack, the wide tooth on the pinion should be meshed with the wide opening on the rack. That will assure that the timing is correct and you can then adjust the electrical switch correctly.
Hope that's clear as mud!!
