When I installed mine I not only had to adjust the tab to get it to shut as best it would I also had to play around with the (4) screws (two on each side) to get the gaps right. Best I can remember they all come into play. I had to keep making adjustments until I got it the way I wanted.

Yes, I had to do the same thing. Once I got the tab to fit as best as I could, I played around with the hinge screws to get it to shut better. It's not perfect, but you have to look really close to see it's not perfect.
