Replacing the 89 front with one with 7" round headlights
I am fairly new to a lot of this but I have learned quite a bit so far in my quest to put my old 89 back on the road. I really can not stand the 4 tiny headlights that the 89 has. I love the look of the old 7" rounds a lot better. How hard would it be to swap the front clip to an older Chevy with the 7" round lights?

Re: Replacing the 89 front with one with 7" round headlights
Easy bolt on, but you’ll need a few parts. Basically, a complete 73-80 clip from the firewall forward:
• 73-80 Driver and Passenger fenders • 73-80 Hood, Hinges, and latch • 73-80 Core support, lower fill panel, and headlight buckets • 73-80 Grille and headlight bezels • 73-80 Lighting harness, or modify your current one • 73-80 Battery tray Reuse the core support bushings, or buy new that match the year of your frame. The 81+ bumper will fit with the older style front clip. You may also need to change the fan shroud, depending on a few variables. |
