Jimmy camper is out again...

Had our local car show coming up and decided i would spend some time on the jimmy camper and bring it up to the show. The people that understand what it is like it, but most people think it is a short bed with a slide in camper.

Got the console put back together. Too bad about the big hole in it, but i see what the PO had there...

Does any one repro the rubber boot for this transfer case?

Found some more NOS goodies in back. I haven't looked up the first part, anyone recognize it?

Thanks. The slots are 6 lug by 16.5. 8 ply duralon tires that are probably 20-30 years old. Ride like a hockey puck...

Thought i had a couple more pics here... guess i may have to take a couple more tomorrow.

That is super cool. I’ve never seen one of those. You should post some interior pictures of the camper.

Re: Jimmy camper is out again...

I think the goodie in pic#3 is a Spare Tire Holder. The kind that goes behind the back seat.
Either that or it's a rotocoil gyrostabilizer brace for the flux capacitor intercooler.

For sure not a tire holder or brace for the intercooler. Book shows a plenum LH side?

Then run the numbers. There's a GM p/n taped to the piece. That should lead you somewhere.

I have had to make boots out of ones that where available in the past.

I looked it up in my book and it shows LH plenum cowl. That is from my gmc master book. I will try to get a better pic.

Re: Jimmy camper is out again...

I think a camper shell would be cool to have, though I am not sure what I'd need to do to my C10 LWB to handle it. Though I doubt I'd ever find a camper shell to even try to install one!
