Looking for a windshield and can get these locally:
Green tint with shade band that is Pilkington
Green tint without shade band this is XYG
Really didn't want the shade band, anyone ever use XYG?

Re: windshield

I am interested to see what you ended up doing. I'm trying to make the same decision but I can't find a windshield without the band at the top

Re: windshield

I wouldn't use XYG just because it's Chinese. I try to avoid putting Chinese parts in my American vehicles, although it's hard sometimes when GM only sources a part from China.

It was this same reason that prompted me to put a good USED windshield in my truck. Look around, this could be an option for you as well.

Pilkington purchased LOF, which was one of two original-equipment suppliers to GM (the other was PPG). If you want to keep it as original as possible, this is definitely the way to go.
