As long as you are getting a 1 piece, no. And I think 99.99% of SAE U joint nuts are 1/2 inch.

I think I found one exactly the correct length.
Are the u-joints the same size on a late 60's Impala as a 65 C10?

I'm thinking for the 2 piece driveshafts the the rear section should all be the same for all C10's with a 12-bolt - whether long bed or short bed. I say this because all the trailing arms are the same length 63-72. So, the location of the Heavy Duty carrier bearing will be in the same place, and the location of the Light Duty carrier bearing will be in the same place.
