67/72 Trucks at Vintiques NW nationals Yakima WA

The Vintiques North Nationals is on in Yakima Washington and as we have things going on tomorrow we ran up this morning. The cars were not all there and some spend the day running around the area but here are the 67/72 trucks I saw today. I normally post my show threads in the 47/59 Group but there were a big number of 67/72 there.

I don't usually show photos of folks with their rigs but he was working hard getting that super nice truck spiffed up out in the heat. We will see if my recruiting pitch worked.

My ongoing truck projects:
48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

The 67 longbed reminded me that my first truck was a 67 longbed half ton with every bell and whistle Chevy put on one in 67.

I enjoyed the pictures, thank you for sharing.

I live on the other side of the Cascade mountains so I wasn't able to attend.

Gee, how much gas would this thing have drank?

Re: 67/72 Trucks at Vintiques NW nationals Yakima WA

I'm thinking that their numbers may be down this year because of the heat and smoke. Plus Hot August nights is the same time and Speedweek at Bonneville.

The event is open through 72 year models. A lot of families with the parents or grandparents having street rods come because the younger folks can bring their 60's or early 70's cars.
