Re: toe in with my 69?

I did the same thing.
Just had mine aligned and they used the arc/degree BS their all doing now.
Anyway I went home and checked it had 1/16" toe in. Did a slight tweek and now have 1/8".
Drives better on these terrible roads around here (farm to market) but on good roads it's great for what it is.

Re: toe in with my 69?

Thanks again to ALL....yes I do agree to the 1/8 inch toe in . At speed, & I should not say (about 2 1/2 times the legal limit of 55) The toe will let em run straight @ speed. One more ? The old truck has a 84 Burb box (variable ratio), & is fitted with a 5.3 LS/& steering pump. Do you guys think that the pump, that was set up for that rack& pinion, is to touchy for the old steer box? Longhorn

It appears to be subjective. Some are more 'in-tune' w/their set-up & thus are more sensitive to the feel of things. Others don't notice much (if any) difference.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
