Anyone ever seen a motor mount shield on one of their trucks?

This looks completely factory stamped. Anyone had one or two of these on their trucks? Maby a stab at keeping the mounts from getting oil and heat soaked so they wouldn't have to use the cable restraint due to badly designed 1st run of mounts?

I believe I have seen somewhere that these are exhaust manifold coolers.

There were some on the '72 parts truck I bought. They were shaped different but same concept. They keep heat off of the rubber part of the motor mounts.
