1965 Armrest Hole Question / Need Help
I seem to be having an issue with a 1955-66 deluxe armrest. I purchased a set to install in my 1965 Chevy Suburban and it appears the mounting holes in the armrest are off considerably from my OEM door panel that came with the mounting holes/cage nuts installed from the factory.
I'm fairly certain that I read that all years are the same and I am aware that the 1966 armrest crossed over to the 1967-Mid 1968 body style, based off of that information I checked an OEM template I have from one of my NOS 1967 armrest boxes. The template matches my 1965 door panel perfectly. So I'm not sure why these armrests are so far off? I see plenty of guys run them. Does any one have hole to hole measurements of their "Deluxe" style armrests? Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I don't believe mine have the larger end width like yours show. I got mine at the Truck Shop, but Classic Parts https://www.classicparts.com/1955-65...info/19%2D633/has them also. That one doesn't look right you have there.

That looks like a 53-54 Chevy car door armrest.

Re: 1965 Armrest Hole Question / Need Help
I've reached out to the company I purchased it from, they are looking into it if it was packaged incorrectly. I was starting to think the same, like from a Chevy 210 I thought.

Re: 1965 Armrest Hole Question / Need Help
That's definitely the wrong part. I purchased a pair of the aftermarket ones and they fit just fine. My doors didn't have armrests on them when new because there's no cage nuts on the inside. I'll have to change that at some point

Thanks all for the input. Now I'll await the company and see what they can do.
Appreciated, I guess this case is solved!

Re: 1965 Armrest Hole Question / Need Help
Oddly enough, my mine has two sets of factory arm rest square mounting holes for the cage nuts. One narrow and one wide, or is it one fore and one aft.....hmmmm, I always thought it was the latter but now you got me wondering.

Re: 1965 Armrest Hole Question / Need Help
But the door panel holes would also have to different. Spacing looks the same though. I think mine also has the same unused holes.
