Shaved door advice....and parts needed
Just curious if anyone has went with shaved doors. Any advice on the install? Pics of install? Pros and cons?
Parts needed: I need to find the rods that attach the bed fenders (short/fleet) to the cross sill/frame. These are the little rods that attach in front and behind the wheel opening. Does anyone have any laying around, or on an old parts truck? Also looking for an "under the bed tank" if anyone has one available, and some front and rear bumper braces/brackets for a short/fleet on a '67 frame. Thanks in advance!

I can list some cons: leaving your window down so you can get in, or have a Tampax string hanging under the truck so you can get in, or knocking out a window to get into your truck. I have a buddy w/a 93 Silverado he bought used w/shaved handles, all the above apply to him. Looks real cool, tho, especially when it rains & he left the window down. Brian

Those are not cons of a properly done shave job. It sounds like the jacka$$ that did your buddies truck didn't finish the job. After you shave the doors, you then add solenoids to actuate the latching mechanism inside the door and a popper to push the door open when the latch is disengaged. It's a great mod when done right. Just do it right.
