Top parts and wiring...

This is my first time doing a basic swap, I'm done with front accessories and bracket adjustments, but I'm now needing parts for the top like breather cap, PCV tube, vacuum lines or do I even need half of this ???. I kept most of the old parts but lost alot of the main ones, so I'm not sure what I need at this point, and where would be the easiest to get them without running to 15 part stores. As for carburetor, I was given a h olley double pumper, but may go with a smaller edelbrock, this is just gonna be a light duty use truck. Temp sensor, oil sending unit, I still have my old ones but this other block came with them already but I don't think my connectors will fit, so should I order new identical ones as before or rig it some how to connect??? My old wire harness is kinda worn and sloppy, could I order a kit with what I need and just splice in more organized one????

Swapping what into what?

On sensors and gauges: they changed several times over the years. Especially temp gauges. An older sender connected to a newer gauge will give incorrect readings. Same for the flip case. There are several threads on gauges and senders.

Im going back with the standard gauges in the dash....nothing new.....if my old temp sensor will fit into new block, it will connect to old wire connected. Oil sending unit too.
