Pitman arm bolt

For the life of me I can't find the pitman arm bolt for my 70 K10. Does it have to be a special bolt or can a grade 8 bolt of the correct size be used?

Re: Pitman arm bolt

a pitman bolts to the bottom of your steering gear/box and uses a big nut and washer, the idler hangs from a bracket on the opposite frame rail, any correct size grade 8 bolt will work for that but you need two

Thanks that’s what I went with. Luckily there is a real old school hardware store nearby where you can get one grade 8 bolt one lock washer and one nut.

Re: Pitman arm bolt

If you want a factory bolt, send me the size you are looking for and I will go thru the mystery box and look for one. PM me so I don't loose your response.
