Re: orche and white factory paint
Tastefully done. I wouldn't change a thing on that truck.

Re: orche and white factory paint
Been a long time, still miss the truck. Here's another shot on the Hatteras - Ocracoke Is. ferry in NC. Color matches the island name...kinda sorta if you pronounce ochre wrong
Here it is in way northern NM coming up from Taos on our way to Chama And, same trip cutting up from I-40 toward Taos from the east through Las Vegas, NM. Lunch break:

I love the matching slide-in. Any pics of the inside that you saved?

Actually, I have video tape of my son on the bunk in there. I wonder how I could covert that. Are there still places that convert VHS to DVD? Heck, they're trying to make those obsolete now

Re: orche and white factory paint
Thanks. Its a hard decision on which one to get out in sometimes. I love old campers almost as much. Just finished up my Scotty rebuild and almost painted it Ocher but my wife nixed that one. Ended up painting it to match the 55 but it goes well with the truck too.

Re: orche and white factory paint
Mighty fine combo going down the road. The camper truck was in need of a lot and the X kept making vacation plans that left it out of the picture. So, I decided to go with a low-profile pop-up style (4wheel campers) for the white K2500 so I could load kayaks on top, haul Harley on trailer (no overhang) and go on adventures with my son, other than just campgrounds. Tore into the camper, hadn't bought the low-pro yet, she wrecked the finances, and left. The rest is history. Still hope to get there, though.

Still have the assembly line writing on the firewall. I have repainted the rockers and corners after replacing them. |

Since this popped back up I will add my '71. I'm the 2nd owner. Original owner removed the slide in, sold the bed and put a dump bed on it to use around the farm. Originally had a 402/TH400 but grandson pulled the engine and transmission because he needed the trans. He still had the engine but he wouldn't let it go with the truck when I bought it. First picture is when I brought it home, second is cleaned up with bed removed and third is now with replacement bed on it. LockDoc

Re: orche and white factory paint
Mine . Truck was repainted but they used the ochre and white since they I assume didn’t know the correct color. Mine was special order Placer gold and white. I will eventually redo it to original colors
