new 44 front axles

looking for a set of axles, inners and outers for my 71 k10 dana 44. New preferably, having a hard time locating some. If I cant get a full set for less than $400 , I'll call moser and see about some chromolys ($600 plus u-joints) ouch!!

Have you tried looking for a set from a 73 or newer 44?

check with this guy, he may be able to help you out. he's an offroader and a parts guy, so he should be very helpful. if he cant get the parts, i'm sure that he'll point you in the right direction of someone who can.

I appreciate any bit of help

Things got good for me when I called dave at milliken race and off road. He knows whats up, most of the part numbers in his head and a secret guarded dana spicer book. My axles were ready the following morning, thet're in now and bigger than before, axles and u-joints. brake lines calipers greasable shackles all around and shackle flip kit are on the agenda for this weekend. then its a blazer poly tank kit & maybe a sm 465 rebuild in the next couple of weeks . I w ant to get as much done as I can before our death valley trip in september. Thats my therapy for the rat race, gofaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrr away from all that, If you run into someone out there, odds are they can identify.1faaastc10, Thanks for the help.

rustyg, i am thinking of puting a 8 in lift on my 72 swb 4x4. what size 35's are you using? How do they fit? Could you go with any bigger tires? Got any pics of your rig?

bfg mud terrains, 35 12.50 x 15's decent tires, little noisy but that's to be expected. I havent had any clearance issues at all, I'm looking at 36'' tsl radials right now, I dont imagine there will be any space issues with them either but my rig isn't a super-flex machine. here's a pic.
