Bench seat adjustment hanger?

Found this on the cab floor....

Bench seat adjustment rod really does not move the passenger side. Im thinking this S-hook might be the missing link, but got no real clue.

Any idea?
Thanks much,
don t.

Yes. It is an adjuster. I believe it goes in the hole in the frame, but the guy who worked on my seat cover last connected it to a seat spring, which also works. You can bend it to be overall shorter and draw it closer to the seat frame if you need the passenger side to release sooner.

Re: Bench seat adjustment hanger?

I know you don't need any adjustment on your bench seat, but for those who have issues with getting the adjustment just right here is a great tip I was given years ago.

Instead of using the OEM hook use a very large zip tie. Loop the zip tie through the hole in the seat frame and around the seat track adjuster cable, or rod. This allows you to install the seat, then you can reach under the seat and tighten up on the zip tie until the seat will operate properly.

This keeps you from having to remove the seat multiple times to get the seat properly adjusted.

Re: Bench seat adjustment hanger?

I installed thru hole on seat frame.....
Had to bend the rod, straighten it out a bit, until both sides released as it should. Seat gets installed this weekend.

Thanks all for your help,
