Re: sliding windows
Thank you it is the soft ray I'm after - have a clear set in place. Happy to scrape tint if need be.
For info sake I'll set a single pane slider next to a double pane slider and compare to a spare 2x wall pane to check dimensions between the slider types.

This has evolved into a thread with some good info. Many oft-repeated questions definitively answered here.

Re: sliding windows
Update. Looks like more info helps confirm it's the 1x wall top that the single pane slider instructions call for trimming. Odd though as I set a single pane slider next to a double pane slider and the outer dimensions do not appear to differ. Many months from now I plan to install single pane sliders in a 1x wall top without trimming. Will post result when I do.
Meanwhile the following show single pane sliders removed from a 1x wall top in CO (thanks Troy) and the haphazard trim job that was performed. See the wavy inner margins of the window opening. I was shocked at how thin the OEM glass is for a 1x wall top. It's like a tortilla chip.

Re: sliding windows
Would the sliding side windows of a 1973-91 Blaze(r) fit on a double wall top...1971 Blazer.
