Thumbs up

No 5 lug axles fit into a 6 lug rearend correctly EXCEPT 1970 6 Lug rearends and They ONLY can use 1971-72 5 lug axles. If you have upgraded the front to disc using 71 up parts you can either retain the 6 bolt pattern by using new 6 lug rotors on the 71 up spindles or swap the entire rearend for a 5 bolt rearend. If you go the rearend route I recommend checking local salvage yards and posting on every parts message board you can find, if you wish to go the 6 lug rotor route visit this page of our site we have 6 lug rotors new made in the USA deseigned to work on 1971-87 1/2 ton truck spindles and 71-91 Suburban, Blazer, Jimmy 1/2 ton 2wd spindles. http://www.gmcpaulstruckparts.com/Brakes&Steering.htm
Well hope that helps!!! Have a great weekend
