Just wanted to say I compare all forums to this one!
Hi everyone, very long time member. I have had quite a few of these trucks over the years. I have always referred to this forum no matter what I'm working on or parting out.
I did get my 70 GMC longhorn 90% done before life took over and it's been sitting now for a decade. Recently I wanted a classic for a driver (as was the original intention of my truck). So I've been looking for a while and finally ended up recently buying a 67 Camaro. The Camaro is it pretty good shape and defiantly exactly what I was looking for. Pretty good to look at, drives decent, plenty of room for upgrades as needed but for now just turn the key and drive. Now, to learn more about these first gen Camaros I searched for an active forum. First of all, I thought since these are so popular it would be easy to find one that's just as active if not more so.... not the case. So I found the one that seems to be most active, joined and I've been searching threads and learning what I can on these cars. What I've noticed is just about every thread there is someone rude, or mean, and sooner or later just about every thread either doesn't have hardly any responses or if it does its its just bashing or arguments between members. I've only been a member there for a week or so, maybe I've just been unlucky in the threads I've chosen to read. Who knows..... ![]() All I can say is my whole time here on 67-72chevytrucks.com I've never experienced that, the people here are awesome, friendly and genuinely help each other out and support each other. ![]() I just wanted to say thank you to all the members and mods here that have made this forum the gold standard for forums IMHO.

You can tell that the moderators here are good at heart and don't put up with the garbage that many forums seem to thrive on...thank goodness.
This site is one of the best as far as forums go and certainly the best for the 67-72's!

I agree. I too bought a 67 Camaro and looked for a forum that was as good as this one, but it doesn't exist.

Re: Just wanted to say I compare all forums to this one!
Great information here and friendly folks who put up with my questions and give such good answers. I'm usually looking for how things were done at the factory, looking for what parts are worth buying new and what parts are best buying used or rebuilt part, looking for what upgrades are possible to do and not wind up with crud under the hood, or looking for how-to info. I am amazed by this forum. Thank you folks.

I wholeheartedly agree! The moderators do a great job keeping this place enjoyable!
As far as your Camaro have you considered starting a thread in the Alternate Tinkering section? Lots of 1st gen Fbodies listed in people's signatures. They may have some of the answers you seek.

Definitely this is a very good site. People here are ultra helpful.
I have taken a liking to first generation Camaros as well. The best site for those is www.camaros.net.

The ownership here is pretty diverse. Mostly it seems folks here are looking to keep them going and enjoy them.

Re: Just wanted to say I compare all forums to this one!
Definitely. I recently bought a 1968 Oldsmobile 98 with a story and posted about it here because most of us enjoy many types of vehicles. I got about 15-20 positive posts here on this truck site.
I joined an Oldsmobile forum and told the same story and only got about 5 posts.

Re: Just wanted to say I compare all forums to this one!
As a guy who has been messing with the 67 - 72 trucks since 1975 find that most of the people here on this forum are as mentioned before , are great people. There are I am sure , a couple who mess things up for the rest but all an all this forum is a great place to go.

I agree that this forum is great! Lots of great support, info and help on here. I enjoy the lack of "BS" that I see on other forums I go to.
