1968 50th Anniversary Longhorn
100,000 miles, 3rd owner, really needs 100pt restoration. All of the original documentation including protectoplate. Nearly all original parts but typical rust...everywhere. Have all duplicate sheet metal for restoration. Have original engine but currently sporting a small block 400 that runs great. All lights, tach, vacuum gauge, heater, etc. works. Dealer AC does not work. Dealer installed positraction. Rare Longhorn canopy. Original wood in bed. Three (3) sets of wheels go with the truck. Many restoration parts to go with this truck including cab, fenders, bed side new carpet etc.
$5500...no trades. Drive it home if you like. According to the original Longhorn Man (Andy) Only 1100 of these trucks were built in '68, the first year of the introduction. There were 14 color options so I am not sure how many 50th Anniversary color options were built and sold in '68. I have two of them and only need one...

What an awesome truck. If I wasn’t on my best behavior, I’d have to bring this home.

Finally letting her go, bummer. Id rather have your Longhorn than my C30, but cant have two at a time anymore.
Miss seeing you and the gang at the swap meets Mike, maybe in the fall?

Re: 1968 50th Anniversary Longhorn
I have a GMC Longhorn - 8 1/2 foot bed - wondering if they make longer cap like you have? I realize yours is probably old - any idea where i can get an extra long camper cap?

Re: 1968 50th Anniversary Longhorn
Nobody making longer canopies these days. I was very fortunate to find mine on local trucks. They are both from the 68-72 era. Keep looking...you might just find one on an old truck somewhere.

Re: 1968 50th Anniversary Longhorn
That would make a great 4x4 truck.
