Phenolic Spacer for 1 bbl Rochester carbs - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I used a sheet of aluminum once and made a heat shield sandwiched between two base gaskets on a Rochester 2g carb.
Kept the carb running cool.
Kinda like this Holley 4bbl shield.

No worries, Geezer! Always appreciate other people's good ideas. I'll keep that in mind if I still have any issues. Ran some errands in the truck today without any problems, but of course, its getting a bit cooler here in Maryland now.
