For future reference, Drive Train Specialists carry most, if not all the parts needed to modify or rebuild the 12 bolt 8.875" axles. IIRC, the cost of the Truetrac series 3 diff is identical to Summit.

I called Summit today and was told that my parts would be here on the 17th, sure hope so. I would like to get this done before the snow falls. Last year I had the transmission out of ol yella and was wearing Carhart's insulated coveralls and still froze my butt off. Don't want to do it again.
