what do you guys think of these rims for my truck
went out on a search last week for some bed parts 2hrs frome home. the bed ended up being in worse shape than the one i got but it wasnt a total waste of a trip . i happened to see one of these wheels lying around ,asked if he had anymore and he pulled out 4 more. and hes got 3 more at work. Im having trouble deciding if im gonna put em on or not. they are 16.5 by 8.25 and i dont have tires for them so its not like i can just throw them on and try them out for a while . at least not without puttin out the money. so let me know what you guys think . these thigs were black with dirt when i gotem i cleaned up with an acicd wash i found at home depot in the masonary secsion.

you could go up to 33's for sure but not sure about anything bigger. If they are just 12.50 wide you may be alright.

I like them also, I had a Chevy shortbox van back in 1980 that had the same style turbines (15 x 8 & 15 x 10). The only thing that I didn't like was cutting the crap out of my hands cleaning them (on the turbine edges).

I would do it.Before the liift no problem with 33x12.5.After 4" lift 35x12.5.The 35's will hit the front fender when flexing. The 33's will look good lifted4".What acid wash did You use?I have a set of old 200s wheels that have a cast center that needs cleaned pretty bad.

Just like 71ChevyDude mentioned, I was thinking..."Wow, Dukes of Hazzard rims" I don't know how they hold up if you try and jump that dried up creek at the end of Tizdale Road, but they look pretty cool.

Smokekiki--- it was called muratic acid . im not sure how to spell it the container is long gone , i dilluted it a little . try a small spot before the whole rim this is stronge stuff , my grass is dead were i washed the rims. its probably real bad to use if you got any kind of coating on the wheels. and dont get any on ya . i just put the stuff in a spray bottle and sparyed them real good i let set for a couple minutes (not long) then hosed them off. i wouldnt do this with the tires on im sure it would not be good. i accept no reponsability for you actions or reactions with the stuff. i used the whole continer so nothing would accedently happen with it later on. (kids or pets)
IN OTHER WORDS DONT TRY THIS AT HOME

The best thing I found for cleaning my wheels is something called "Oil Eater" that I found at Checker Auto.
